Estimate of the capence of fitting up and laying the pipes for 4 lamps, at the gate, the inside courts as agreed upon most respectfully submitted to the Master and Fellows of Jesus College, Cambridge including iron pipe from the main, syphons, bents, burners, & copper piping.
Four handsome lamps, glass tops.
One & column & frame.
Stopcock and lay and preparing the whole complete for lighting.

NB. Smiths work, carpenters and masons work not included.
The lamp on outer gate, per season of 9 months lighted, cleaned and extinguished by the contractor will be £6 6s per season of 9 months.
The other three will be regulated by the meter, by which only what is burnt is paid for. The price of the gas by meter is 57 per cubic feet.
