Confirms that E H Harteigh is in her 50th year and the widow of the Revd Thomas Hartcup, formerly of Clare Hall, Cambridge and late of Dieppe in France.

She explains that she ‘is in no condition to maintain herself and children without the charity of her friends’ and ‘begs leave at the same time, most thankfully to acknowledge the favour of thirteen pounds sterling which the received from the Rustat charity last year, by the hands of the Revd Dr. French.’
