Hilton to Dr. French thanking him for the favour but asserting that the annual rent of the land, the expense of labour, difficulties of approach to the land due to a bad road, stagnated water, danger of the sea, unhealthy situation, dread of extra wall rates etc. depreciate the value of the land.
