On the overleaf there is sign that someone has used this document to prepare a letter or written notice of some sort. The following words are written;
‘that every person in state […] the Porter of every College be designed to consent [?] the name of every Person in statu pupillare who leaves the College often 12 o’clock at night in a book to be provided for that purpose’
‘that the name of every such person be on the following morning reported by him to the proper authorities of the College’
‘that every person in statu pupillare on leaving any College after the hour above be required to state his name of College, when requested to do so’.
