Since the new vicar has not yet arrived, Martin explains that all correspondence between the parish and the college has been passed to one of the churchwardens, Frederic Stokes. He asks that the college send their annual subscription to the parish school (£2/2/0) to Stokes by the end of the month, before the school year closes.
