Letter addressed to Mr. Horspool stating 'We have been instructed by the Bursar to clean out the hot water supply boiler and storage cylinder which supply the Shower Baths in accordance with our contract. With his letter he enclosed a note from the Boiler Insurance Company which also states that the kitchen vertical boiler and cylinder should also be cleaned out. We are writing to ask if we are to do this when we clean out the boiler and cylinder mentioned above.' There is a letter attached to the front in reply dated 10th August 1926 stating 'the kitchen vertical boiler and cylinder are cleaned out in accordance with arrangements made with a local firm so that it will not be necessary for you to arrange the cleaning of that back.'
