Copy of the will of Adam Buddle of Hadleigh, Suffolk. He bequeaths the perpetual advowson of the Church of Whatfield to his nephews Adam, Richard, George, and John Buddle and their issues and successors.

The volume also contains: copies of the Statutes of 1841 and 1861; names of incumbents of College livings since 1849; extracts from Cooper's Annals of Cambridge for 1850-56; extracts from the Report of the Royal Commission of 1852; biographies of Jesus men who were Fellows in 1849, ex-Fellows in 1849, and those otherwise especially notable from the second half of the 19C; and finally brief notes about rowing, covering 1849-70. On p. 231 is a pasted-in Who's Who entry for historian Herbert G. Wood, with a note about his death in 1963; at p. 240 are two newscuttings of obituaries for Sir Owen Beasley and Col. B. C. Meeting minutes.

A note at the front of the volume states that it replaced one in use since the reinstatement of the club in 1919. It contains minutes of meetings with a few loose papers and some photographs.

Letters concerning renewing the lease for Nos. 29-34 Lower Park Street. These had been leased to John Death for 40 years from 29th September 1876. Following his death the trustees under his will had assigned the lease to Mrs Anna Maria Folkard [by an Assignment dated 3rd July 1903]. The lease was due to expire in September 1916 and Mrs Folkard approached the College via her solicitors to see if they would grant a renewal of the lease and if so on what terms. There was a proposal that Mrs Folkard give up the lease of property she held in Jesus Lane [Nos. 25and 26] in return for an Annuity and renewal of the Lower Park Street properties but this was rejected by the College Council

Coleridge Society meeting minutes, preceded by a list of secretaries from April 1888 and a note explaining how the society began as "The Literary and Philosophical Society". Minutes for 1888-89 were transcribed from an earlier notebook.

Correspondence about the sale of land to the Clergy Training School and negotiations for the sale to the Borough Council of a piece of frontage to widen the road in front of All Saints Church and Westcott House. Also a page from the parish magazine showing the eight houses known as the 'Barracks'

File containing letters of complaint to the College about the noise from Lawrence's Garage and the fact they left cars and vans in the lane behind Rhadegund Buildings. Most of the letters are between the College and the Misses Goody (tenants of 52 Jesus Lane) but there are also some from the owners of the garage.

Contains minutes: first for the Theological Society from its foundation on 29 October 1900 to 27 Nov. 1905; also for three meetings of the Jesus College Essay Club, from its foundation on 29 Jan. 1906, with a fourth relabelled as the 37th meeting of the Theological Society. A 38th meeting concludes the volume. At the front is a list of speakers at each meeting, which shows that they were regarded as a single sequence. One printed lecture by J. Ellis McTaggart was pasted in at p. 48; a Chapel service list for Michaelmas Term 1913 and two letters from speakers were found loose in the volume.

Recites that the annual revenues of the College amount to only £225, and are insufficient to maintain the Master, 16 Fellows, and 21 scholars on the foundation. Petitions for a licence to acquire the advowson of Harlton, worth less than £15 p.a., and other lands and hereditaments to the annual value of not more than £200, of which not more than £20 p.a. to be lands held by knight service in capite. (In English). Endorsed 'the Petition. The evidence for Stocton that went to London'.

Lease by the College to nine named parishioners of a shop adjoining the north side of the steeple of the church and of a piece of waste land adjoining the south side of the church. Term 40 years, to be renewed every 40 years for 200 years; rent 4d per annum. The parishioners are to erect a shop on the waste ground, and to sublet the two shops, so that the rents will provide for an annual distribution of 13s 4d to the poor of the parish, the bequest of William Ridscall. The distribution is to be made at Christmas (5s) Easter (5s) and St Luke's Day (18 Oct.).

Letter book containing letters and notes of different periods from the late 16C to the 19C, with a table of contents by Dr G. E. Corrie (Master 1849-85). It includes many letters of Charles Ashton (Master 1701-52).

Exercise book containing newscuttings and notes, beginning with a list of decorations and then giving annotated casualty lists, compiled by James Hoppett, Head Porter of the college. It was given to the college by his widow on 3 Aug. 1931.

File concerning the renewal of the lease in the name of Mr James Hodgson, dated 6th May 1845, (deceased) and held by his wife Mrs Mary Ann Hodgson. Arthur Westmorland (Bursar) makes it clear that before the lease could be renewed repair work set out in a schedule drawn up by Richard Reynolds Rowe had to be completed. Includes the specification listing in detail the repair work to be done; letters between the solicitors representing both sides about the terms of the lease; a letter from Mary Ann Hodgson saying the repairs were well in hand and requesting the lease be renewed and transferred to her son in law Mr H. Whiting with whom she lived as she was "getting very aged" [she was 82]; a site plan of the property showing the outline and dimensions; and an abstract of title
