A book of collected memorabilia, including letters and photographs, made by Percy's friends and colleagues at the Kent School, Connecticut, Boat Club, and presented to him on his retirement.

Percy was a guest coach for the Kent School, looking after their crew at Henley, and paying them occasional visits throughout his fifty years as a coach.

This is a diary of a trip I took as a member of the 1953 Kent School Henley Crew to England. Parts of this diary are not in my own words; such sections were written by Hans Kalinke '54 and appeared in the KENT NEWS in the fall on 1954. These sections are recognized by quotation marks and have the initles [sic] H.S.K. following. The trip was taken during my fifth form year when I was 17 years old.

My memories of this trip are very dear and are a highlight in my life. Rather than write you an emotional epistle, perhaps this diary will bring you some delight and fond memories of the 1953 Kent Henley trip as expressed in this document.

Percy helped us in 1950 when the School won the Thames Cup. Now, twenty-one years later, he steps aside, a friend to all of us. Luckily for me, in this year of our Lord 1971, my father, my son and I will be at Henley, cheering for the crews and honouring Percy Bullock, Boatman and Gentleman.

A letter from Thomas Edward Ryan to Percy reminiscing about his time at Henley as a spare in 1961. He recalls a story of rowing in a jury-rigged pair that was made by mating the bow and the stern of an eight, which was submerged after being launched due to him neglecting to lock his oarlock. He expresses his gratitude that Percy installed confidence in him when launching a Jesus College pair for his initial outing at Henley and for all other rowing adventures. He closes the letter by thanking him for contributing to his warm memories of Henley.

A letter from Stephen P. Hamilton to Percy sharing his memories of Henley and explains that he was a spare in Kent's Princess Elizabeth Eight in 1966. He did not get to row that year but made many memories and came back in 1969 as stroke of the Trinity College, Hartford Eight in the Ladies Plate. He expresses his thoughts on Percy being the living part of the Henley experience, and that men like him keep the tradition and legend alive. He closes the letter by offering his thanks and gratitude.

He attributes Percy’s presence to their enriched memories of Henley and recalls a personal memory of Percy living up to the impression Tote Walker impressed upon them prior to meeting him. He recalls the talk he gave to the crew, encouraging them to remember why they had come and to do the best they could. He gives a count of the race, in which they reached the quarter finals and were beaten a deck length by a Harvard Lightweight Crew, and of how Percy consoled them in their disappointment. He expresses his thoughts on the wisdom received through years of rowing and coaching and of the lifelong friends Percy has made. He closes the letter by hoping that Percy will still be seen at Henley in the future.
