Paid 25 7s 3 1/2d to Robert Painter for glazier's work in the college, including: over the hall, the room in the pump court, the library, the butteries, on the leads, the master's lodge, over the cloisters, on the library staircase door, putting up, taking down, and cleaning the lamps in the courts, the porter's lodge, the chapel, in the combination room, and on the pump for the tree court (new leather for the bucket and a new box). Work included laying new lead, provided new glass, crown glass and old glass newly leaded, applying solder to the leads, new lead for the gutters, new lead to a pipe, soldering pipes, old lead back, new lead to flashings, solder to flashings, and laying flashings.
