Item 58 - Building bill

Paid £117 9s 6d to Webster for work done in College including for work done on New Square for making part of a new road by picking up and removing gravel more northward in front of Mr. Fuller's houses and carting stuff to making gravel path from north to south, to cutting down a tree and old bushes and stubbing up the roots at the west end removing part of posts and rails on the north side, putting up new posts and rails and new gate at the west end and painting the same, work by carpenters and labourers, loads of bricks, bats etc to raising the road, horse cart and man removing earth and gravel on the ground, oak for making grate frame, cube oak for posts, rails, oils for painting.
