Bill for repairs carried out by Lewis Rootham (builder, 32 Clarendon Street, Cambridge) to the house at 1 Park Street, occupied by Mr Joseph Sturton. Total cost of work is £31 13s 1d and includes: new kitchener and cistern (with cover); fitting and fixing the new range; one new cast pan with damper and frame and flue door; new supply pipe for cistern and boiler; bearing bars; fixing new stove and adding to chimney jambs; 25 floor tiles and fire bricks; 23 hods of mortar; repairing attic ceilings; cleaning, stoping, and whitening bedroom ceilings; making a cement chimney piece to front kitchen; taking up and relaying new lead gutter, cutting lead soakers for slaters, and laying on water for kitchen boiler supply; repairing shutters; repairing sash frames; new roof and boarded ceiling to servants' WE; misc. building materials; repairing slating on house and covering sides of dormers with slates.
