Fourteen pinned pages of receipts for repair work under the Jesus College Bursar's account with Mr. Favell, Ellis and Sons across college between 1878-1879, including that on The Masters' Lodge, The Courts, Roofs, Buildings, Staircases (B, C, L, F, N, M and P), The College Buttery, Cloister, Chapel, Library, The College Stable, Lecture Rooms, The College Kitchen, the Estates (45 Jesus Lane), and twelve Students and Fellow's Rooms (staircases B, K, L, F and A). The work totalled £62 2s 9d and there is a summary of the places worked on on the final page. Was signed as paid by Henry Ellis (?).
Work in these buildings includes: painting, garden repair, releading window casements, ceiling whitening, glazing and re-glazing, pruning, puttying, adding a pump and skink to the kitchen, soldering, redecorating and colouring, cleaning and varnishing, scrubbing off old whitening, papering, repairing taps, replacing screws and valves, mending doors, cleaning roofs and rain water pipes, cleaning and outfitting new Indian rubber band to basin valves, tending to pipes after frost, thawing and collecting pipe valves, unstopping sinks, repairing fixtures, cleaning and connecting bathrooms (W.C.s), various wood working, repairing taps, replacing glass, mending lead work, painting pneumatic tubes, removing old pipes from the ground, stopping cracks with brown paper and plaster.
Building supplies and labour costs for many of this work also included especially that of painters and plumbers
Most extensive work to the Master's Lodge (3 pages) , with a note that the painting, papering etc. done to Cloister Bedroom and dressing room is charged to Miss Holroyd. Work to the Master's Lodge includes repairing to W.C. in Garden, repairing taps after frost, drilling out old screws, fitting new valours and staunch screws, releading and cemending window casements and puttying and banding new glass and casement of new frame; to pump and sink in kitchen, solder to mend, painting the case, to Cloister bedroom and window: unleading and cememting casement, glazing, puttying, banding casement to trace frame; to Drawing Room: whitening ceiling, moulding to cornices, colouring, cleaning off old writing, papering ceiling and cornice, protecting paper, paining window opposite drawing room, to spare bedroom and ante-room, whitening ceiling, papering, scouring and touching up paint, cleaning off old whiting, preparing ceilings; Small Bedroom (South) whitening ceiling and painting; to Miss Holyrod's Maid's Room: skirting boards, rails and pegs and lights purchased, papering and cleaning old whiting, rubbing down walls and preparing woodwork; Miss Holroyd's dressing room Lobby, whitening ceilings, painting and skirting, mullions of windows, sashes, paper, rubbing down and sizing walls. Includes charges for the wire, labour costs (plumber, painter, men), nails, squares of glass, moulding grey, maifin (?).

To College Stables: to opening ground, taking out old pipe, laying new made joints, plumber and man's labour, new extra strong pipe, soldering to two joints, coal, credit for old pipe.
To College Kitchen: new bucket to pump, valve and leather, new valve box and valve, labour to fitting up and fixing the above.
To Estates: at 45 Jesus Lane: lead for windows, nails, three hours labour for plumber to fix the above, glass in sash, painting new woodwork, credit by 18th of old lead.
