Scope and content
Consists of 3 copies of 'The Book of Years' (book containing illustrations and poems from Rita and Jacob Bronowski's annual Christmas cards) with slight variations between the copies.
1 copy of 'The Book of Years' (white cover) is a draft with loose Christmas cards (1953 and 1971), a loose page containing the introduction for the book, and a draft preface by [C P Snow] (25 May 1976). This volume also contains further loose material which was slotted inside the book: a colour photograph [of Rita Bronowski]; an illustration for 'The Face of Violence' by Rita (1953); handwritten notes [for a talk] by Rita about her life including travelling to India with Jacob Bronowski; and an annotated biographical summary for Rita Bronowski.
A 2nd copy (white cover) of 'The Book of Years' [is a later version] prepared by Aeolian Press, San Diego. It is not complete as the preface and introduction are missing.
A 3rd copy (red cover) does not contain a title page (as the 2nd does) but does include an introduction signed by Rita Bronowski.
