Comprises: photocopies, reprints and press cuttings of articles by others (some annotated); typed research notes [by Jo Marquand, BBC] for programme 6 with postcards of images from Florence (Italy); a typescript locations summary for programme 6 and notes on "epilogue on truth in science v. dogma", "the matters at stake" and "the principals who overturned the dogma, namely Copernicus"; a typescript of Bronowski's "sync to camera" piece for filming on Easter Island with comments by [Jo Marquand, BBC]; handwritten and typescript notes comprising research done on Galileo; and a one-page outline for programme 6 entitled "The Music of the Spheres: Descriptive Astronomy".

Also includes: an early draft for programme 7 'The Majestic Clockwork' (Aug 1969); a postcard from Owen Gingerich on visiting Cambridge (United Kingdom) and his current work; letters from Edward Rosen (Professor of the History of Science, The City University of New York) regarding the trial of Galileo (2 Nov 1970), the place of the sun in Copernicus' cosmos, and a Renaissance symposium [that Bronowski helped organise] (8 May 1970); and correspondence between Sylvia Fitzgerald (editorial associate) and the Director of Verlag Karl Alber [publishers] about a sculpture in Freiburg Minster (Germany).
