Also includes: a typescript of "programme points" about work to be done on each programme (26 Oct 1970); a copy of a covering letter from Bronowski to Adrian Malone sending treatments for the programmes and about working on scripts (24 Jul 1970); a photocopied and handwritten list of "work done so far" (Apr-Sep 1970); a copy of a letter from Bronowski to Robert Reid (Head, Science & Features, Television, BBC) on accepting the proposal for 'The Ascent of Man' series (28 Jul 1969); a copy of an article on Kenneth Clark's 'Civilisation' television programmes; lists of illustrated books and "contemporary physicists"; a letter from Jim Specht on visiting California and research; a letter from Bernard Campbell (University of California at Los Angeles) sending an annotated typescript of chapter 3 of 'Sexual Selection and the Descent of Man (1871-1971)' edited by Campbell (included); Adrian Malone's notes on meeting Professor Yves Coppens (Assistant Director of Museé de L'Homme) about filming at Omo River (Ethiopia); and a copy of a letter from Sylvia Fitzgerald to Dick Gilling (BBC) about filming grunion (15 Jan 1971).
