Bursar's accounts for work done to Jesus college. Including:
The Master's Lodge: including purchase of valves, a water bucket, leathers and valve key for the soft water pump, whitening bedroom ceilings hufboards, bead painting, 1/2 day's labour of 1 plumber and 2 painters, painting of skirting boards and ceilings, hanging of rails and pegs in the top bedroom, hanging of wallpaper and paper, cleaning of woodwork, painting of Venetian blinds, painting of the Entrance Hall and Lobby, staining and varnishing the study floor, purchase of copper nails, costing £44 8s.
Courts and Buildings: Including repairs to students' and servants' WCs, plumbers' labour, thawing and connecting of pipes, installing of taps, purchase of solder, wooden cisterns, Indian rubber joints and lever cranks. Repairs to the chapel roof, maintenance of gas lamps, erecting new railings, repairs to the Cloister roof, repairs to the gutters, costing £171 15s 7d.
Accounts also cover: fitting of new valves in the Buttery, glass and glazing in the Chapel tower, repairing of taps, pumps and cisterns in the Kitchens, repairs to the gutters of the houses opposite college, purchase of lead straps for the cottage in the Grove, repairs to the ceilings in the students and fellows rooms, painting of various staircases around college. Total cost of works amounting to £233 13s 5d, signed by Henry Ellis and dated 1st December 1880.
