Letter from Benjamin Wilson, curate at Fordham, to Rev. Dr. French, stating that there is no school in connection with the Church of England at Fordham, so that the Children of the poor are alienated from the Church by the education of dissenters. It is purposed therefore to erect a school in Fordham in union with the National Society on a site of land which Mr. Dunn Gardener Esq. intends to give to the trustees for the object. The vicar of the parish has given his name for a donation of £20, and if circumstances admit of an additional £30 next year with an annual allowance of £12. I hope to raise from my parishioners £100. These sums however are inadequate. Asks for an additional donation from Jesus College. Signed Benjamin Wilson.
