Administrative history

Barnet Beales was born in Cambridge in March 1800, the son of Barnet and Mary Beales. He was a tailor and a robemaker, operating out of a shop at 37 Sidney Street; according to the 1861 census, he employed six people. He died on 22 November 1864, and is buried in Mill Road Cemetery with his wife, Mary. His son Barnet William Beales took over the business.
