Bill for plumbing and glazing work done by Favell & Ellis. Work done between 3 November 1855 and 24 October 1856 to: courts and buildings, chapel, College hall and combination room, and kitchen. Items billed for courts and buildings include: 1 square of glass in landing window 1st Court D; To the lead roof over the combination room and roof over the porter's lodge building labour 2 days 2 men to repairing and soldering leadwork; 39 lbs of plumbers solder to all the work; To school room repairing leadwork– 3 small squares of glass 1/6 1 large pane 2/3; To window in H stair case; 10 3/4 ft new leading the glass and cementing; 1 casement repairing leadwork; 4 ft 4 in of glass releading and cementing; 32 quarries of glass to ditto; 3 iron bars and putty to casement and lights; Work taking out window and refixing; 2 sides of glass in gas lamp and work; Work 2 men attending to all the water closets during the frost and pumps; Work two men 3/4 of a day correcting closets 5/7 copper wire. Items billed for hall and combination room include: To the Hall Oriel window 2 lights releading; 8 ft of glass, cementing; releading cock & scroll; work taking out & refixing; 6 squares of glass to ditto; 4 lights releading & cementing; releading stained glass; work taking out & fix; 6 squares of glass in ditto; Cleaning windows after pointing & soldering bands; 1 square of glass & work in hall; To cleaning the Combination Room & Gyp Room windows; 3 squares of glass in Buttery; Combination Room 1 square of flashed glass 22x15 & work; Hall 2 squares of glass & repairing leadwork; To cleaning all the windows; To Cupola Vane. 3/4 1 man with ladders assisting the whitesmith taking down to repair and refixing again. Items billed for kitchen include: 2 quarries lights releading & cementing 8 1/2 lb; 18 quarries, work taking out & fixing in; 1 casement releading & fixing in iron frames; quarries, work stopping in quarries to light; Mending leadwork to coppers, 1 man & labour; 1 lb of solder, 3 lb of lead; labour 1 1/2 days 1 plumber & labour taking old lead off copper and relaying new; To cleaning all the kitchen & larder windows.
