Memorandum of Bishop's queries of Minister and Churchwardens for the Parish of Eye. 18th May 1820. Queries of the parish asked at a visitation by the Bishop to Bury St. Edmund's. Includes questions such as location and size of parish, that there are no papists or quakers in the parish but that there are some baptists and methodists, very few people in the parish don't attend church, that Wythe resides in the vicarage of Eye and that his other benefice is Great Bradley, Mr. Bolton is the curate, details of church services and how they are performed, how many people usually attend services, teaching of 20 boys at the Free School, almshouses built by Nicholas Bedingfield, Sunday school is provided for 80 boys and girls, provisions for the poor and sick of the parish, church and vicarage are in good repair.
