Letter from Ted Buttrey with Ian Stewart's reply:
(a) letter from Ted Buttrey, typescript, single page, dated 2 October 1990, noting that it had been some time since the Christopher Blunt Collection came into the Fitzwilliam Museum, thanks in large part to Ian Stewart's help, and that he should have written earlier. TVB further notes his preoccupations in struggling through "daily chores", which include a personnel matter, and hope that IS will be able to attend Philip Grierson's 80th birthday in a month's time.
(b) copy of Ian Stewart's reply, in typescript, single page, dated 8 October 1990, thanking TVB for his letter and expressing relief that arrangements for the Blunt collection have been finalised, since "the prospect gave reassurances to Christopher in the last days of his life". He also confirms his intention to come to Cambridge for Philip Grierson's birthday celebrations.
