Letter from Nick Mayhew, in manuscript, one folio (recto and verso), dated 30 September 1977, informing IS that he had spoken to Marion [Archibald] about that alterations that IS made to his Matilda note in Miscellanea [in the BNJ] and decided to take the unusual step of making "fairly substantial alterations to the note" himself while IS was away in America. NM explains that he made the changes to incorporate new information. The changes follow.
