Letter from Martin Allen, in typescript, dated 1 August 2001, in response to Lord Stewartby's joint article with Peter Woodhead on 'Edward III pre-treaty farthings', Numismatic Circular (August 2001), p. 233. The letter was coupled with a letter of Peter Woodhead, in manuscript, dated 29 May 1996, and another letter of Jeffrey North, in manuscript, dated 14 June 1996, which are catalogued separately (JCPP/Stewartby/1/1/WOODHEAD/1996/1 & JCPP/Stewartby/1/1/NORTH/1996/1), plus the page proof of Lord Stewartby's note on 'London mint accounts, 1399-1402', Numismatic Chronicle, vol. 162 (2002), p. 50 (p. 373 in the published version), which remains attached.
