Letter from Mark Blackburn of 11 April with an attachment, unattributed, called a "Discussion Document" (dated 10 April) and entitled "A gold coin from Goodnestone, Kent: a new shilling of Eadbald of Kent (616-40) or a Merovingian tremissis?". The attachment describes a new find of an early Anglo-Saxon gold coin and has some marginal annotations. In the letter, MB asks IS for any comments that he may have and concludes with a brief note about Philip [Grierson]'s health.
