Letter from H. A. Woodham to William French. On searching he finds there are four boxes of glass in the library. One he has selected and will send to the Dean the tomorrow. The Dean has promised to return any glass that is not used. Dined with Mr. Sparke in Ely who is going to give some painted glass to French's church, one of those in the octagon. Progress on the Chapel is wonderful. Turner agrees to look at his chimney and the Library roof. Discusses health and talks about symptoms of his recent illness of a similar sort the Master suffers from. Describes E. Mortlock came to his room when he was ill and found him struggling to turn the key of a cupboard because he was so ill. Bedmaker had to pour the water into his teapot. When he walked to the Cherry Hinton field he couldn't climb the stile so had to turn back. Eventually got better. Mr. Dickes' health improves. Mr. Merry's was mentioned in the time today.
