Letter addressed to the Bursar: 'I have this day examined the Hot Water Boiler and smoke pipe to the Greenhouses in the Masters Gardens. I find the apparatus in a very bad state of repair, and consider it not worth spending any money on. I recommend to scrap the whole of the present apparatus and supply and fix a new Beeston Boiler with suitable smoke-pipe complete. I estimate the cost the execute the above work, all left in good working order to your satisfaction for the sum of: £18 10s 0d'
