Letter from Eric Harris, in manuscript, partially dated 13 November [1995], regarding details of EH's work on die pairings that eventually resulted in "Die pairing on the transitional coins of Henry IV and Henry V", BNJ, vol. 67 (1997), pp. 20-29. The letter begins with a reference to "a chart showing obv-rev die pairs used to strike the H4-5 groats/coins – & that limited to the earlier scowling bust types". The chart is identifiable with an early version of the diagram, dated 13 November 1995 (g), which also dates the piece of correspondence; the diagram evolved into the one that eventually appeared in the BNJ article. Some of the discussion in the letter concerns coins from the Reigate hoard, specifically a set of six photographs of examples from trays 20-21 in the the British Museum, which make up the other related materials (a-f).
