Scope and content

Written from St. Mary's Rectory, Bedford. As an old member of the College, wanted to meet with the Master when visiting Cambridge as thinking about preparing pupils at his rectory in preparation for their application to the University. He enjoyed his own experience of being tutor when in College under the present Lord Makon. On taking his degree he took on the second mastership at Richmond School, Yorkshire under Mr. Tate where he was for eight years and has subsequently never been without private tuition. He never has more than four pupils and charges 200 guineas a year not including vacations.
