"Sir, this is to certify that I have sold to Mr Saunders part of a house that I built on Gravel Close New Square and give up all claims to the ground. I am now building the said house by order of the said Mr T. Sanders as being employed by him. Witness my hand Daniel Blackler".

Note
Thomas Saunders was a publican and he and his wife Rebecca held a number of leases for property in New Square in the 1820s and 1830s. This could relate to No. 20 New Square as a lease was signed on 17th November 1832
