Scope and content

Letter from Chris Wren, in typescript, single page, dated 27 November 1992, with attachment; in the letter, CW thanks IS for his recent card and expresses his satisfaction that he found the Lippe sterling [from Deal?] to be of interest. He also refers to an attached list of the gaps in his collection of Canterbury coins (see below) and acknowledges receipt of several offprints but says that he still needs the one from the BNJ "on the events of 1208". To conclude, he mentions an enclosure that he describes as a "little booklet I have recently produced on the short-cross series" [i.e. The short-cross coinage, 1180-1247, Henry II to Henry III (Herne Bay, Kent: Plantagenet Books, 1992)]. The attachment is labelled "C R Wren – Short cross coins of Canterbury mint. Main gaps/wants, etc as at November 1992, in typescript, two pages on two folios (recto only).
