Letter sent to the Bursar of Jesus College, Mr. Manning, by W.L.H.D. in which the latter reports that his gas company's representatives have read his gas metre. The reading (94, 400 "feet") appears to be indicating "consumption since gas was put in in 1913". The gas costs for the period 1913 to 30th September 1921 amount to 18p; 18s, but Mr D., after having spoken with Mr Horspool, asks to be liable for an allowance of only 8p. There is a handwritten note calculating the amounts, including the remaining 10p "paid in error for East House".
