Scope and content

Acknowledges receipt of donation of £10 from the Master and Fellows towards the churchgoing poor of the parish of Great Shelford, and conveys thanks to the Society. He then questions whether it is personal objection to him which prevents the college from donating more money, since Great Shelford is the poorest parish in the diocese, with lands being lost to the parish (with no help from the bishop); the amount donated by the college is the same as it was in 1752, and has not increased proportionately as it ought to.
