Scope and content
College prizes for 1874 total £42, made up of 6 at £3 3s, 7 at £2 2s, plus prizes to Seaton (Latin), Seaton (English), Riley (English), and Blake (English). On top of this are the B. M. Lamb prize of £20, and the Keller Prize (£20) given to Bramley (£10), A. Gray (£5) and Gunther (£5). The only Keller Prize to be awarded in 1873 was £10 to Delivigne, who has written to ask why he had not received the full amount of £10. He grumbles that Delivigne is a 'greedy youth' and £10 should be sufficient, but given that he was the only 'deserving bachelor' eligible for the prize, he should probably get the full £20.
