A letter from Thomas Black to ‘Reverend Doctor Beadon, burser of Jesus College, Cambridge’ stating that he has ‘inclos’d Mr Joseph Noble draft value £21 11s 4d, being the Ballance of one Years Rent due lady day last which I hope you will receive safe. Your Notice was serv’d improper time, and I hope the parties will settle without any further trouble. Mr Buncher dung’d the land almost all over last Winter, and he thinks it hard to quit the Land and to have no allowance. Mr. Reeve propos’d Mr Brewster should allow Mr. Buncher for his dung, but he is not agreeable to allow any thing, I must beg your opinion of the matter, if you think it reasonable for Buncher to be allow’d for his dung or not; and desire you will send a line upon the receipt of this with the receipt for a Years Ballance and am for Mr William Reeve your most Honourable servant’ signed Thomas Black.
