Copy of a letter from Fisher, as Chairman of the Parish Meeting, to the Rural District Councillor Mr Ashcroft, arguing against the proposition that he ought to build cottages for labourers. He has put seven houses in order, and repaired and erected farm buildings, and is out of pocket. More could be done with Trotter's Charity Land. He would like to build, but economic conditions prevent it.
