Scope and content

Letter referring to Martin Allen's "chronology chapter for the Mass Sylloge, and a note for the BNJ". There are two papers attached, both of which appeared in the BNJ. They are (a) Martin Allen and Mike R. Vosper, 'An Edward III second coinage penny of Reading', 3pp (cf. BNJ, vol. 69 (1999), pp. 214-215), which probably corresponds to the note for BNJ, and (b) Martin Allen, 'Two fourteenth-century mint indentures and related documentary evidence', 10pp (cf. BNJ, vol. 70 (2000), pp. 61-66). The chronology chapter for the Mass Sylloge is not attached, but there is a photographic reproduction of a coin attached, possibly the Reading penny to which the letter alludes.
