File concerning the renewal of the lease in the name of Mr James Hodgson, dated 6th May 1845, (deceased) and held by his wife Mrs Mary Ann Hodgson. Arthur Westmorland (Bursar) makes it clear that before the lease could be renewed repair work set out in a schedule drawn up by Richard Reynolds Rowe had to be completed. Includes the specification listing in detail the repair work to be done; letters between the solicitors representing both sides about the terms of the lease; a letter from Mary Ann Hodgson saying the repairs were well in hand and requesting the lease be renewed and transferred to her son in law Mr H. Whiting with whom she lived as she was "getting very aged" [she was 82]; a site plan of the property showing the outline and dimensions; and an abstract of title

Letters from B. Bevan (College Surveyor) and the Cambridge Corporation to the College concerning the construction of a covered drain instead of an open ditch running from Garlic Fair Lane [Park Street] to the River. Includes a report from the Corporation in which they agreed to give up part of the ditch to the College on condition that they built a brick wall not less than 10 feet from the wall constructed by the Corporation [it was to be 12 ft wide at one end narrowing to 10 ft at the other end].

Worked from both ends. The front has departures and returns of fellows from Michaelmas 1663 to 1702 (6 ff.); the back has departures and returns "inchoati" from Michaelmas 1632 to 1659 (6 ff.), presumably transcribed from a poorly-kept list elsewhere, exeats for scholars from 4 Feb. 1663 to 11 Nov. 1706 (6 ff.), and departures and returns of students, 1694-1712 (3 ff., upside-down).
In the middle, upside-down, is "A register of the Certificates produced by such members of this College as have taken and subscribed the oaths appointed by the Act of the first of King George intituled 'An Act for the further security of His Majesty's person and government ... and for extinguishing the hopes of the pretended Prince of Wales, and his open and secret abettors'", with oaths of the Master and Fellows, 2 Dec. 1715 - 10 Apr. 1725.

Contains rental, 1623-33 (incomplete), listing by tenant the reserved money rent, wheat, malt, total money rent and college commons; there follow lists of stipends, 1623-1723, for which Fellows sign receipts to 1665. From 1666 the Steward signs for all the Fellows and the Cook for all the servants.

Contains notes of moneys, bonds, deeds, etc., put into or withdrawn from the treasury. A full account is given of what remains in the treasury after the audit at Michaelmas each year, including, after 1566, a list of the College plate. Later entries were made on blank spaces in the book between 1620 and 1667.
