Copy of the Rustat Statutes in a 17C italic hand with an English translation appended. The amendment to the Statutes by Charles II follows in another hand, attested by John Cooke, 1 July 1672. There is a memorandum on the case of John Harvey, who was elected a Rustat Scholar in error, while his father was still living, and consequently deprived of his scholarship on 7 October 1672.
Contains: Rustat statutes, 1671 (17 pp.); interpretation of the statutes by King Charles II, 1672 (4 pp.); register of admissions of Rustat Scholars, 1671-1819. At the end of the book is a register of leaves of absence granted from 4 June 1715 to 22 December 1744.
A copy of Bishop West's statutes written by Benjamin Newton, in a fine 18th century hand, with later notes by Dr Lynford Caryl and (in pencil) Dr Pearce. A dedicatory note states that Newton made this copy of the Statutes for the Master. The statutes conclude with the 1559 added statute, followed by a copy of the interpretation of the Statute "De Numero Sociorum" by King Charles I, 1635, and copies of letters and other documents concerning appointments to and tenure of fellowships, 1614-1638 (as in STA 1/3). There follow lists of counties, northern and southern, and finally a note by Dr Pearce about a difference between the Master and five Fellows over the election of two Fellows, 29 July 1791, with the Bishop of Ely's reply.
Statutes of Bishop Joseph Allen, handwritten in ink with a few corrections in a different hand, with a "Warrant for altering the Statutes of Jesus College Cambridge" signed on behalf of Queen Victoria (with a royal seal), 30 Oct. 1841, attached to the front flyleaf by sewing. The Bishop's warrant confirming the statutes is attached inside the back flyleaf, 9 Dec. 1841.

A copy of Bishop West's statutes in the hand of Dr French (Master 1820-49), with markings in red ink, corrections in black ink and annotations in pencil. At the end is a note of 15 Mar. 1827 attesting that the copy agrees with the best known copy of the statutes (kept in the college library), 1820-1827.
Also loose papers found inside front cover. One noting what was sent with a petition [to the Bishop of Ely], which apparently included this volume (It can be deduced that this relates to the petition dated 2 Dec. 1841).
The other note also found inside the front cover, probably in Dr William French's hand, noting a decree about priority among the Fellows, 15 Feb. 1619/20.

Contains the University's Elizabethan statutes followed by later royal injunctions and extracts from the Grace Books; these written in several different hands, with the latest date 1733. Then there are notes under various headings, "Examined in the Vice-Chancellor's or Proctor's or Register's books. An. 1734. F. S. Parris." The latest entries seem to be in the hand of C. Mason, whose name appears on the front flyleaf ("Trin. Coll. Cant.").
Declaration by the College, under the Benefices Act 1898 (amendment 1923) that the right of presentation shall henceforward be enjoyed without power of sale, 21 June 1928. Also a copy of a letter from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners to the Revd Ll. Price 6 April 1933, noting the grant of £200 towards the augmentation of the benefice.

Copy of Bishop West's statutes after the 1549 revision and with the Elizabethan extra statute, in an early 17th century formal hand with marginal notes by Roger Andrewes (Master 1618-32). The signatures at f.123 are also copies and have been annotated in another hand, probably Andrewes'. The preliminary leaves have notes in Latin about the geographical origins of Fellows, an index to the statutes, and notes about Fellows elected "in my predecessors tyme", which phrase indicates that this is Roger Andrewes' hand.
The later part of the volume has a copy of the interpretation of the Statute "De Numero Sociorum" by King Charles I, 1635, and copies of letters and other documents concerning appointments to and tenure of fellowships, 1614-1638. The last leaf has rough notes by Andrewes similar to those at the start of the volume. A Christmas reading from the Gospel of St Matthew ch.1 appears loose at fol. 95, apparently used as a bookmark.
