Bronowski was due to give a talk on 'Copernicus as a Humanist' and present excerpts from 'The Ascent of Man' on the 24 April [he had to cancel due to illness].
Comprises correspondence with L Frank Mann (Consultant in Secondary Education, State of California Department of Education) and annotated typescripts of 'The Nature of Science' which Bronowski wrote for the State Advisory Committee on Science Education (May-Jun 1967). 'The Nature of Science' was later absorbed into Bronowski's Damon lecture for the National Association of Science Teachers on 'Science in the New Humanism' (Mar 1968).
Also includes a paper on the philosophical position of the State Advisory Committee on Science Education.
Comprises correspondence on Bronowski attending a National Foundation conference (National Volunteer Leadership Conference) in New York (9 Dec 1966) and giving a talk on 'The Salk Institute - Frontiers of Medicine'. Also includes: a conference programme; an invitation to a reception at the United Nations; and a "speaking engagement" information sheet [made for the file].
Comprises correspondence with the National Film Archive (a division of the British Film Institute) about some films that Bronowski appeared in being selected for preservation.
