HurrellReceipt for total of £25 8s to Mr Bidwell for: purveyance of an estate in the parish of St Andrew the Less occupied by Messrs Moyes and Mr Hudson, and drawing up a plan of that estate; valuating the estate occupied by Messrs Moyes worth £106 0s 11d, now let to Mr Hudson, estimating rental value at £302 9s, recommending alteration and improvements to the buildings, and that the building let by Mr Hudson should go with the farm. £40 of alterations needed due to dilapidation of buildings, to be paid by Moyes; purveyors decided that the coprolites in the pasture Close in Coldhams Lane were worth nearly £200 per acre; Mr Moyes (tenant) offered £150 per acre and to restore the land. examining lease of farm let to Mrs Gifford, inserting proper covenants for alteration and management, returning the lease certified to Merrs Francis & Co; preparing 2 plans of farm for lease and counterpart, forwarding it to Messrs Francis Webster and Riches.
Re. Shelford Farm, £7 7s paid for: interview and correspondence with Dr Corrie and Mr Henry Hurrell re. £35 land tax that needed paying, and the valuation of various trees and buildings on the farm belonging to Mr Hurrell (July 1871); examining and perusing lease of Shelford Farm let to Mr Thomas Gunnell, inserting proper covenants for alteration and management and a corrected schedule, certified to Messrs Francis Webster and Riches; meeting Arthur Austin, coprolite merchant, in Great Shelford, to judge the depth and expanse of coprolites, estimated as 10 acres' worth at £150 per acre, if Austin had been allowed to take the gravel mixed with them (Jan 1872); correspondence with Dr Corrie and Mr Edward Few re. whether the college could sell part of its property in Willingham, writing to Mr Few that the college had no current plans of selling; for a valuation and report with plan annexed of an estate in the parishes of Steeple Morden and Abington Poggots, held on lease by Miss C. P. Westcomb for 21 years from Michaelmas 1852.

Correspondence between Bronowski and Benzer (1964) is on subjects including recommending Fred Wilt as an Associate Fellow for the Salk Institute, plans for Benzer working at the Institute in the summer of 1964, and the death of Leo Szilard.
Also includes lists of Resident Fellows, a list of publications by the Resident Fellows (sent to Augustus Kinzel, 1965), and a press cutting of an article by W J Kroll on 'The Case for Individual Research' sent to Bronowski by [Augustus Kinzel] to show the Fellows.
Consists of material relating to funding of Salk Institute Fellows' estates including a memorandum from Frederic de Hoffman asking the Fellows to agree to cancel unexpended balances, and a signed agreement from Bronowski that he would.
