2 income tax receipts for the amounts £1 4s 5d and £1 4s 4d for the third and fourth quarter of the tax year April 1861-2, dated 13th March and 8th May 1862 respectively. One receipt for £2 8s 9d for two quarters in the tax year April 1862-3, dated 7th November 1862. All paid by Charles F. Gifford in the parish of Over, Cambridgeshire and signed by Joseph Gifford, the collector. Note summing up these payments and adding it to rent, totalling £125 2s 6d. Insurance receipt for £3 16s paid to the Sun Life Office, London for one year's duty on an insurance worth £1100 for Christmas 1862-3, for the farm house and homestead in Over in the tenure of Thomas Gifford. On the reverse, list of unspecified payments, presumably totalling up insurance payments.
