(Menard) Akers, Colonel Hugh O'Donel Alexander [chess player], Stanford Anderson (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning), Ruth Nanda Aschen (editor, 'World Perspectives'/'Perspectives in Humanism'), Sir Eric Ashby (Clare College, University of Cambridge), The Hon. David Astor, Michael Ayrton and Americo Azevedo.
