Scope and content
Letter from H G Filch, signed by Arthur Westmoreland about difficulties finding tenants this Michaelmas for the farms, with two still left with no prospects of tenants. He was offered 17s per acre last Friday for land at Hundon, did not feel it was enough, hopes the bidder could be induced to give 20s per acre and could be satisfied with the receiver expecting £5. Buyer would take a twelve year lease. Asks for a response to know what do to.
