Land assessed taxes, 1858-9, first moiety. Parish of St Giles, Cambridge. House tax £0 6s 3d. Carriages with two wheels 10s. Land tax £2 10s 0 d. Received of Mr Elliston the 29th October 1858 the sum of £3 6s 3d for two quarters' taxes due 20th September 1858. Signed R. Peters, collector.

April 1: Reward for new iron windows. In place of old wood ones, decayed in stable.
April 5th: Paid bricklayers for underpinning chaff house. Bricks on shed, and tiling to barn stables, chaff house, and cow house. 14 days.
April 20th: 30 Bushels lime and hair (mortar), 100 new tiles.
May 2nd: Paid tiler for new tile chimney - old one blown down.
May 24th: Check on loft Barn.
