Scope and content
The first three items are receipts for a company that sells 'brick, pipe, tile, and lime kiln', addressed to Roper [?] Whiteman, for pipes bought of John Matthews. The first is £3, and the second two are £4 each, with the fourth piece of paper adding up these charges to £11, signed as settled 19 March 1861 by Matthews.
The final item is a letter, detailing the enclosure of the receipts for drainage tiles. It is unclear who the letter is addressed to, and the sender's signature is illegible.
