Contains, in Caryl's and several other 18th century hands: a list of names of the bishops of Ely from 1133 to 1836; Bishop West's statutes with the usual interpretations to 1638 (pp. 1-94); a list of terms of exhibitions - Brunsell's, Gatford's and Humphrey's - and of Sterne's scholarships (p. 95); a copy of a paper about the appointment of John Plampin and Thomas Newton as tutors, 27 Sep. 1788, with other documents relating to William Frend's case (pp. 96-101); notes about the Proby Fund, and various exhibitions and scholarships, including the Rustat, and other benefactions (pp. 103-145); a list of college livings with names of their (18th century) incumbents (pp. 146-151); notes on the "Office of Steward" (pp. 153-[160]).
The front flyleaf has some notes about College history, about the College's power to grant leases and a statement about the book being handed on to the next Master by Caryl's executor, Lettice Roberts, 25 July 1789.
At the back of the volume is a page index to the statute headings (in Latin) and other contents, an abstract of the Rustat Statutes, and a list of "Rhadegund Tythes"/"Fines set", 1733 to 1773.
