Letter from Peter Berghaus, 3pp in typescript, thanking IS for his letter of 12 September with news of his contribution for the Philip [Grierson] festschrift. PB refers to photographs enclosed, no longer attached, for the plates that IS is preparing, noting however that he never photographed "the Pyrmont-Lüdge penny of the Scottish type in the Berlin collection". He suggests that IS get in touch Bernd Kluge about that and refers him to another example of the coin published by Hans Krusy in 1940. PB further mentions the Helmarshausen short[-]cross pennies, the Limburg groat, a possible German imitation of a late Scottish penny and short-cross pennies with +ROMANUSREXA, which were likely from Dortmund. There are annotations on the first two pages, plus a clean copy of the second page.
