Letter to Rev Dr French, deetailing invoice paid of John Stockdale & Son. 13 chaldrons of ducks coals and 22 chaldrons of ducks, on August 20 1830 and September 21 1830. Total of £55 2s 6d. Letter continues, noting that the delivery was forwarded in two parcels as it was inconvenient to Edward Mason. Signed John Stockdale & Son. Dated 21 September 1830.
Letter to Rev Dr French, detailing invoice paid of John Stockdale & Son. Dated November 20th 1830. Noted as 35 chaldrons of blyth coals at 28s 6d for Edward Mason. Total of £49 17s 6d. Letter continues, noting that Stockdale & Son hoped the above coals loaded by Edward Mason were up to standard. Also notes that they are much obliged for patience concerning the arrival of ducks coals, stating that the blame for the delay lay more with Mason than Stockdale & Son. Mason could not carry the coals as he was also taking foreign wheat and seed to Cambridge for Mr Nutter(?) & Sin who employ him regularly. Payment is available by banker's draft.
