This letter from Eliza Hilton Hartcup to Rev. French certifies that she is in her forty eighth year and the widow of Rev. Thomas Hartcup. She thanks the Rev. French for his gift of 13 pounds sterling given last year in order to support her and her two children as she cannot do it without help. A Rev. Simmons, Curate of St. Luke in Chelsea, signs the letter as well to certify that Mrs Eliza Hilton Hartcup is living in this Parish and appeared before him on 4th April 1845
