Paid £37 14s 4d for bricklayer's and carpenter's work done in Lothbury. Signed by the bricklayer Jn. Salkeld. Measured and signed by Jn Scott.
Bricklayer: Paid 31£ 10s 4d for 'reduced brickwork' to party walls between Mr Tidmash's and the empty house on the corner of Bartholomew Lane. Also includes wages of 2 labourers to digging out foundation and carrying the rubbish into the street.
Carpenter: Paid 6£ 4s for wages of 2 men, to planking the foundation, to shoring up the ground floor, one pair of stairs, yellow double deals, 'to shoring up from the one pair of stairs to the roof', 'cutting away through the roof and flats and laying in bondtimber', iron tyes and staples.
